The Negative Effect of Traditional Chinese Grammer to the English Writing

怎样教中国学生写好英语作文一直是困扰中国教师的一个问题。针对这一问题,笔者对传统汉语语法给英语写作教学带来的负面影响进行了探讨;并提出在英语写作教学实践中比较英汉两种语言的特点;用新的现代语言学理论系统功能语法的指导写作教学。

It has been a disturbing problem for our teachers how to teach students to write English composition well. The writer points out that we must compare the differences between Chinese and English grammer. And a teacher must apply the systematic funtion grammer of modern linguistic theory to the writing teaching.
