This paper compendiously recommends the research area in soil heavy metal contamination and several indexes indicated heavy metal contamination during the research in the past 10 years. It also briefly introduces the harm that heavy metal caused to animals and plants and several factors influenced soil heavy metal contamination.Furthermore thc paper detailed emphasizes phytoremediation methods and technologies in soil heavy metal contamination. It mainly concludes phytostabilization, phytovolatilization, phytoextraction, Rhizofiltration. And then the writer analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of this method. In the end, it briefly points out the tendency of this method in the future research.
