The Gilbert-Elliott(GE) channel is a two-state Markov channel which is used to model the channel with memory well. This paper employs the codeword-error probability to evaluate the performance of interleaved Reed-Solomon(RS) codes on simplified GE channel by the two-order method and the one-order method respectively when using error-only decoding strategy. Numerical results show that increasing interleaving depth and error-correcting ability can reduce the codeword-error probability of RS codes on GE channel.
