中国古代数学发展的第一个高峰期是在魏晋南北朝时期,在此期间,涌现出了诸如赵爽、刘徽、张丘建、祖冲之、祖日恒等中国数学史上的大家,取得了非凡的成就.但这一时期又是中国历史上著名的乱世,高峰期出现在乱世引起了许多人的困惑.该文从中国数学的自身发展、学术思潮、社会政治、士人心态等诸方面进行了一些探析,揭示数学发展的高峰在此期间出现的历史必然性.

The fist peak in the history of Chinese ancient mathematics appeared in Wei Jin South and North Dynasty, at that times there were many famous mathematicians who had achieved great success in the field of mathematics. However, this period was characterized by its turbulent social condition, therefore, many people wondered why the first peak appeared in this period. This paper intends to explore the historic necessity that the first peak of mathematics appeared during this period by taking into consideration the development of mathematics itself, school of academic thought, social politics and so on.
