Developing High Level Research Universities to Enhance China Educational and Technological Creativity

摘要 在知识经济的时代,教育与科技创新能力,已经越来越成为国际间综合国力竞争的决定性因素,然而,我国的教育与科技创新能力与发达国家的差距依然较大。对发达国家的研究型大学研究表明,研究型大学以研究生教育和高水平的科学研究为主要功能,对提升国家的教育与科技创新能力具有不可替代的作用,已经成为一个国家教育体系和国家发展战略的重要组成部分。因此,我国应努力建设高水平的研究型大学,进一步提高我国的教育与科技创新能力。 In the knowledge-based economy, educational and technological creativity is becoming a decisivefactor for a nation's comprehensive strengths competitiveness. However, China still legs behind the developed coun-tries in this regard. Research universities, with graduate education and scientific research as their main functions, arean important part of a nation's educational system and an overall development strategy, playing a special role in raisingeducational and technological creativity. Therefore, China should draw experiences from the developed countries, anddevelop a number of high level research universities so as to enhance China誷 educational and technological creativity.
