汉英名词习惯用法与汉译英的准确性

Contrastive Study of Noun Usage Between Chinese and English and the Accuracy in Translation from Chinese into English

因为汉语和英语属于完全不同的语系,且中国人和英美人在思维模式、民族文化等方面有不少差异,两种语言的习惯用法也就大相径庭。由于不懂汉语和英语习惯用法的差异,中国英语学习者在进行汉译英时往往把汉语习惯用法套在英语上造成译文失误。因此,在教学中要深化汉英习惯用法对比分析,从而提高汉译英的准确性。

This paper discusses the main differences between Chinese usage and English usage in nouns. Because Chinese and English belong to two entirely different language families, and the Chinese people and British and American people have a lot of differences in their modes of thinking and national cultures, the usages between the two languages are quite different. On the one hand, when we dwell on translating principles, criteria and methods, we usually deal with them from a macro angle, neglecting micro aspects, but sometimes it is the micro aspects that affect the accuracy in translation. The Chinese learners of English often model English usage on Chinese usage, which leads to inaccuracy in translation. On the other hand, in our teaching, we lay more emphasis on translation from English into Chinese, but in translation practice, it＇s more difficult for people to cope with translation from Chinese into English. And so we should deepen the study of usage between Chinese and English aad pay more attention to translation from Chinese into English.
