This paper aims to discuss the variable semantic features of English abstract nouns of action with plural form “ s” and their translation. The paper points out that the referents of noun suffix “ s” pluralizing abstract nouns of action are to be determined by the context and can signify various entities or properties related to the semantically represented action such as subjects, objects, ways (or manners), materials, instruments (or measures), results, location, events, figures (or amount), activities. Moreover, it offers a demonstration of the syntactic mapping of the abstract nouns of action with “ s” as well as a representation of their Chinese translation. [
