In this paper we will discuss the software engineering technology for the 21 st century. First we review development over the last half century, overview application requirement and environment, accept a challenge. Then we outline following software engineering techniques: 1) Process;2) Analysis;3) Design;4) UML;5) Component;6) Java +XML;7) Integrated;8) Quality(ISO9000&CMM).
