This article introduces the special welding products capable of reaching equivalent mechanical functions of the base materials: strength, creep and toughness, taking the Post Welding Heat Treatment (PWHT) into consideration. And presents two overlay welding processes using strip to obtain a clad material:submerged arc strip cladding (SAC) and electric slag strip cladding (ESC).
