In the Dark Tower series of novels, Stephen King has created us a mysterious and ridiculous world and presented a life attitude full of active struggles in front of failures. In his works, Stephen King has attached great importance to the existence and destiny of human beings, which has shared the inherent similarities with the opinions about relations between choice, action and freedom held by Jean -Paul Sartre in his existentialism. This paper has tried to explore the process of how human beings have realized their own egos through a detailed analysis of the two characters in The Drawing of the Three, the second of seven volumes in the Dark Tower series by Stephen King.
