２０ 世纪初，中国古典诗歌漂洋过海，对美国的意象派诗歌产生了巨大的冲击和影响。然而，中国古典诗歌和美国的意象诗明显存在较大的差异。本文通过对比中西意象理论、汉英语言文字的句法特点及汉英诗歌。

In the beginning of the 20th century,ancient Chinese poetry went across ocean and exerted great influence upon imagists.But,great difference exists between ancient Chinese poetry and imagist poetry.By analyzing ancient Chinese poetry and imagist poetry,western and Chinese imagist theory and English and Chinese word and sentence structure,this essay intends to present the difference between ancient Chinese poetry and imagist poetry.
