摘要
迅速增多的高层建筑给消防界提出了一个极具挑战性的课程,本文主要讨论高层建筑的防火灭火。耐火建筑构件、横向及纵向防火分隔、建筑装饰材料的正确选用,以及合理的设计属于防火范畴,它可以有效地限制火灾规模,但却难以灭火。最有效的灭火手段则是自动喷淋系统,它针对最高危险等级而设计,且有充足、可靠的供水系统。
The rapid increase in the construction of high rise buildings presents a major challenge to the fire protection community. Passive and active protection of high rise buildings are discussed in this paper. Fire resistive construction, horizontal and vertical cut offs, correct material selection and improved design are passive concepts that can help limit the size of a fire, but cannot extinguish it. The most effective active protection method is an automatic sprinkler system, designed to protect the most challenging occupancy, and fed from an adequate and reliable water supply.
