摘要
We call the modification of clays for retaining the soil stability in geotechnical engineering “passivation”. As the surface of clay minerals interact with passivator during the process of passivation, the surface structure of clay minerals will be changed and the hydrophobility of clay minerals increased, thus the mechanical strength of clay mineral in the whole will be raised. So, passivator is very useful for geotechnical engineering. We have analyzed external passivator and prepared passivator of clay minerals.
