Future of the Control of Red Tide by Modified Clay Minerals

摘要 In recent years red tide often occurred in offshore China which cause enormous losses of national economy. The occurrence of red tide is multiple effect of various factors, such as organisms, nutriments, geographical condition and ocean current etc., among which eutrophication of seawater is major in the offshore area. According to these factors many methods of precasting red tides are built, but it is no ideal way to remove red tide organisms directly and to control red tides. We have prepared a new modified bentonite and built a method to remove red tide organisms. The experiment result shows that the method not only has better capability to remove red tide organisms but also does not pollute environment.
