摘要
The Luodian quartz chatoyant could occur in quartz veins of blue asbestos. It is brown green, light green and bluish green in color. Hardness ( H m) is for 6.8~7 2, density is 2.68 g/cm 3,refraction index N e=1.553, N o=1.544,birefractio N e N o=0.009,and UV fluorescence is of no optical property. The microstructure of quartz chatoyant is parallel fibrous with inclusions of tremolite. Under sunshine and tungsten light, an accumulative and dazzing slit of light is reflected from the inner part of a piece of Luodin chatoyant gemstone.
