Phengite and pumpellyite on the nanometre micron scale in the micro geological body(prehnite) from Daye, Hubei province, have been researched by power X ray diffraction (PXRD), electron microprobe(EMP), scanning electron microscope(SEM) and transmission electron microscope(TEM). The result had offered a sufficient evidence that the prehnite had experienced a high pressure low temperature metamorphism. The research method and idea used in this paper had some guide significance for other researches on micro geological bodies.
