A review on the present gtatus of constitution and design method of main circuit of medium- frequency inverter are welding power source is presentcd in this paper, involving the following topics: the problem to avoid surge current when switch on and to resist disturbution at input rec- tification and filter circuit ithe constitution character of inverter circuit and the selection principle of element as well the protection ; the selection of transformer magnetic core and of wire diameter and the calcution of diameter; the design of output rectification and filter circuit,and the calcula- tion of parameter.
