阐明汉语姓名的外在结构及其文化内涵，探讨汉语姓名英译的可能性，进而提出汉语姓名中的深层内涵──文化成分的不可译性。

Through a dispription of the erterna structures and expoundinng of the Cultural connatations of Chinese names. this article disusses the translatabitity of rendeering Chinese names into English. Based on the traslatability dsussion, the article states that the deep connatations─ cultural componentials in Chinese names is untraslatable.
