摘要
自然环境与历史发展的关系是历史哲学和史学理论中的一个重要问题，历来为思想家和史学家所关注。自然环境与历史发展始终是一种相互作用、相互制约的关系，“决定论”的原理并不适于表达自然环境与历史发展的关系。人对自然的关系是基于实践基础上的关系。因此，物质实践是自然环境与历史发展关系的基础。
The relation between natural enviroment and historical development is an important question in historic philosophy and historic theories which have been paid attention to by thinkers and historians. The relation between natural environment and historical development has always been one of “interaction and interrestriction” . Theories of determinism cannot be used to express the relation between natural environment and historical development. The relation between man and nature is a relation based on practice. Therefore the material practice is the base of the relation between natural environment and historical development.The drawback of naturalist view of history or the determinism of geographical environment lies in the lack of the base.
