STUDIES MADE BY FORMER SOVIET AND CHINESE SCHOLARS OF THE FEUDALIZATION OF WESTERN EUROPE

西欧从古代向中世纪的过渡以及封建化问题，涉及马克思主义经典作家有关国家起源和社会形态变革等重大理论问题，是马克思主义学术界十分关注的研究课题。本世纪５０年代以来，苏联和中国学者关于西欧从古代向中世纪的过渡，以及西欧封建化的讨论不断深入，并把视野扩大到东方和北美，其成就确实比较突出。马克思主义学术界对这一重大问题的讨论，虽取得了不少成就。

he question of the transition from the ancient times to the middle age and the feudalization of Western Europe involves many important theoretical questions concerning state origin and changes in social morphology put forward by Marxist writers of classics. It is also a subject which has been paid attention to by the academic world. Since the 1950s Discussions made by former Soviet and Chinese scholars about the transition from the ancient times to the middle age and the feudalization of Western Europe have been going deeper and deeper into the matter and they have even enlarged their field of vision to cover the East and the North America. They have really made remarkable achievements in their studies . However, it is still a necessary and urgent task to continue the studies about these questions. [
