Overseas Chinese economy: historical status and development

本文以翔实的材料论述了海外华人经济活动发展的历史过程，经济活动的主要领域，以及海外华人经济在东南亚经济中的比重及其所受到的政治、经济、文化上的限制，并在此基础上对海外华人经济发展的趋向作了展望。

Based on detailed and accurate data, this paper gives an analysis of overseas Chinese economy from the angles of the historical course of its development, its chief domains, its proportion in East Asian economy, and the restraints imposed upon it by local politics and economy and culture. Finally, the paper weighs future business prospects for overseas Chinese economy.
