This paper discussed the characteristics of the contents of Pb, Cd, Hg in 24 plant species collected from along the kunming western surburb roads. The average contents sequence was Pb>Hg>Cd. The Pb contents in different plant species showed a pattern of normal distribution, while Cd and Hg tended to represent positive diviation. Plant species differed greatly in the contents of the elements, indicated by using the coefficient of variation (C. V. % ). The dispersion degree sequence of these elements was Cd > Hg > Pb. The analysis of correlations between elements in different plant species indicated that the correlations between Pb and Cd, Pb and Hg, were negative correlations while the correlatico between Cd and Hg presented positive correlation. The 24 plant species were classified by systematic cluster analysis method, dendrograms were given.
