摘要
新的多媒体信息的传输不但要求高带宽,而且要求实时性和同步,即要求服务质量(QoS)。然而,传统的数据通信网络,如Internet,恰恰缺乏QoS控制机制,从而无法满足人们的多媒体通信要求。许多协议和算法已被提出用来解决该问题,如RSVP(资源预约协议)。但至今为止,对多媒体QoS协商控制系统的研究还比较少。文中基于对多媒体QoS的分类定义,设计了一个多媒体QoS协商的控制系统,并详细描述了相应的QoS协商管理算法。
New multimedia information transmit demands not only high bandwidth, but realtime and synchronism, i.e. , “quality of service” (QoS). However, traditional data communication networks such as the Internet just lack QoS controlled mechanism, which makes it impossible to guarantee QoS for multimedia applications. Although many protocols and algorithms such as RSVP have been proposed, up to now, there is a lack of research on multimedia QoS negotiation control system. This paper designs a multimedia QoS negotiation control system based on the definition and classification of multimedia QoS, and presents the appropriate QoS negotiation management algorithms in detail.
