摘要
在VLSI芯片的设计中,供电不足和供电不均匀正日益成为困扰设计人员的一个严重问题。针对门阵列和标准单元模式电路的特点,提出了一种新的电源-地线网设计方法。该方法首先引入了“最大无代价长度”的概念,并推导出其相应的计算公式,然后在此基础上对多个供电压焊块的供电区域进行划分。最后根据区域划分的结果,对电源-地线网络进行拓扑方案设计和线宽优化。
During the process of designing a cell based layout of very large scale integrated (VLSI) circuits, the deficiency and uneven power consumption have turned into obsession problems. This paper proposed a new method for the design of power/ground network according to the characteristics of gate array and standard cell circuits. Firstly, a concept of maximum free length is introduced; then the computing formula is developed and the power supply area of a chip layout is partitioned on the basis of maximum free length; finally, according to the result of partitioning, the topology of power/ground network is designed and the wire width is optimized.
