National Language of Urban Sculpture

艺术是抒发情感的特殊方式,其方式又因地域、民族的区别而不同。这是因为每一个民族都有自己的个性气质和文化传统,以及审美认识、审美理想,在这种特殊的审美理想追求中,建构了民族自己独特的情感表达方式-艺术语言。唯有自己的语言才最能充分表达自己的思想和情感。

Art is a special way to give vent to emotions. It may vary due to differences of different areas and nationalities. This is because each nationality has its own individual character, cultural tradition, aesthetic understanding and ideal, which help constitute the way of emotional expression typical of each nationality, i.e., artistic language. Only the language of one's own can best express one's thoughts and emotions, and have a distinct individual character.As one of the artistic languages to express people's thoughts, emotions, spiritual pursuit and aesthetic views, urban sculpture must have a distinct national character. The urban sculpture of a country won't have a place in the world of arts unless it can display its own distinct characteristics of national artistic language.
