1997年11月15日,新造的灵山大佛在无锡马山祥符寺开光,引起了不小的反响。这尊花费1亿元巨款的锡与青铜雕铸的大佛,高达88米,耸立在马山下祥符寺建筑的顶上。
The newly-established towering statue of Buddha at the Xiangfu Temple in Mashan mountain, Wuxi city, Jiangsu province has attracted much reproach. The statue is criticized principally for its inconsistency with surrounding environment, out of proportion, image lack of sagacity and artistic magic power.
