摘要
This paper describes the creeping principle. Based on this principle, a pocket-sized electrode creep-feeding mechanism applied to electrical discharge machining(EDM) is designed. Features of the mechanism: the structure of two-layer parallel plate is employed as its moving pairs, and an integral structure is adoped in the design of the mechanism. This mechanism can drive an electrode by piezoelectric element in steps of order of nanometer (the minimum feeding step of 78nm).
