摘要
In this article the author made a thorough study of some selected official seals of Han and Jin Dynasties from the collection of the Naming Municipal Museum. repudiated certain erroneous assertions in the academic circles concerning the ancient official seals and threw new light on the characteristics of official seals of various historical periods. their classification and the rules governing their uses on different occasions. It is a wellargued article supported by convincing evidence.
