A Study on the Inhibition Effect and Mechanism of Unsaturated Fatty Acid on Zinc Electrode in 40% KOH Solutions

摘要 The adsorption and inhibition behaviors of unsaturated fatty acid on Zinc/solution interface in 40%KOH solutions were investigated by means of electrochemical techniques. The results show that the corrosion of Zinc in 40%KOH solution is inhibited with linoleic acid and oleic acid, the adsorption action of unsaturated fatty acids on Zinc suface follows Flory Huggins isotherm and belongs to the kind of chemical adsorption, and linoleic acid and oleic acid are all mixed suppressed inhibitors and their inhibitive behaviors depend on negative catalytic effect.
