转型期的文化发展:港澳的启示和汕头的选择

Cultural development during the current period of patterntransformation:revelations from Hong Kong and Macao and thealternatives confronting Shantou

本文探讨了文化发展的一般模式；认为汕头正处于向现代化国际港口城市迈进和向工业化社会过渡的关键时期，必须建构更开放、更具有现代文明气息的文化来支撑，这是一项紧迫而艰巨的任务；在社会转型期的文化建设中港澳模式的现象化、庸俗化、商业化和放任主义的教训足以为后起的工业化地区文化建设作前车之鉴；汕头必须结合潮汕文化的传统和现状，对文化模式进行重构。

Based on a survey of the general pattern for cultural development , this paper is of opinion that as Shantou is now at the crucial moment on its way to become a modernized international port city on the basis of an industrialized society, it is urgent that Shantou be supported by a modern culture with civilized spirit in an opener way so as to guard against the superficial, vulgar , and commercialistic mode under laissez-faire administration prevalent in the cultural patterns of Hong Kong and Macao while accomplishing the arduous task of re- constructing its cultural pattern according to its traditional culture in combination with the present situation of the cultural market at Chaozhou-Shantou district.
