1990年9月31日,“中国自贡恐龙化石和日本三笠菊石特别展”在北海道三笠市圆满结束。在闭幕式的鸡尾酒会上,我有幸结识了别所透先生。他虽然个子瘦小且显出有几分体弱,但他那双炯炯有神的眼睛,却给我一种坚定、深沉的感觉。我们从先生创作的“北慕情”情歌入题,谈到中日历史文化的渊源;从两国人民的友好往来,谈到世界和平的进程。他多次语重心长地说:“

Mr别所透,a Japanese artist,once came to China as an army photographer during the Japanese War of Aggression against China.Having seen the cruelty of the war and recognized its nature,he resolutely went back to Japan and took an active part in peace movement.The 3 old photos here are the works that he took on the battle field in Guangxi,China in those days.
