近年,四川画坛人才辈出,精品纷呈。尤其是老一代画家锐意进取,以其娴熟的手法和对艺术的新的感悟,小断创新,向社会推出高质量的作品。著名画家、画虎大师张扬学,就是其中杰出的代表之一。

Mr.Zhang Yangxue was born in Shehong county,Sichuan Province.Aged 73.Mr.Zhang is one of the most outstanding painters in the province.Soaked in artistic since 60 years ago, Mr.Zhang has reached a top level particularly in depicting bamboos and tigers.On a piece of paper for Chinese painting he can always capture the shape and spirit of tigers and give them vitalities with strokes.His use of painting brushes,colours and backgrounds is distinctive.The tiger heads are his best works, for which he is named 'Tiger King of West China'.His life stories are covered by medias and his works collected by China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Diaoyutai Guesthouse for Visiting Statesmen, The Tian'anmen Edifice, Memoria 1 of Chairman Mao Zedong and overseas art museums and individual collectors.His painting,'Pack of Tigers',is sold for siveral score thousand.
