中国新疆的柯尔克孜族实行一夫一妻制,先订婚再结婚,其习俗饶有风趣。订婚时,男方要把礼物驮在马上,并在马的两耳之间扎一小块棉花,表示订亲之意,让人们一看就知道。女方父母对男方来客要热情招待,并商定娶亲吉日。
