The Kunming Customs, PRC boasts 100 odd years' history, responsible for the customs affairs of Yunnan Province. It has jurisdiction over 21 border basic customs and exercises close supervision and control over the many crossing points and ports along the 4, 060 km border line of the province. The customs uses modern scientific and technological means in its work to vigorously promote general trade,border trade between Yunnan and peripheral countries and perform good management of entry and exit. Meanwhile, strictly enforcing taxation policies promulgated by the State, severely fighting against smuggling and other illegal actions and combating with drug trafficing,it has made contribution to the opening up drive and the economic construction of Yunnan.
