摘要
海明威的著作《老人与海》中运用了23个西班牙语词汇,这些异国词语的运用体现了作者的交际意图。关联翻译理论强调文学作品中的各类语言变异都是引导读者利用认知语境获取交际者本意的交际线索。本文试图运用关联翻译理论,从交际层面对《老人与海》中西班牙语变异的认知语境进行分析,并对其五个译本进行评析,探索通过认知语境来寻找翻译最佳关联性的途径,以期论证关联翻译理论对于认知和解读文学作品中的外来语变异现象及其翻译重构具有指导意义。
Hemingway's deviant use of Spanish words inThe Old Man and the Sea reflects the author's communicative intention.Applying the relevance translation theory to a study of the lexical deviance in this case and comparing the way it is handled in five translations ofThe Old Man and the Sea,this paper analyzes how the readers' cognitive environment is communicatively affected by Hemingway's peculiar use of these loanwords.
