分析先秦一些代表性说法,可见"气"指自然运化功能,又特指生命功能。两义可统一。"气"是"道"和"器"的中介。曹丕把"气"引入文学批评,指生命气息。他认为生命气息不同,作品便显出不同的"气"。他的"文以气为主"的命题,张扬着生命自由展开的思想,引导着人们关注生命素质,关注文化人格。
An analysis of some representative doctrines of the pre-Qin period has led us to the conclusion that the so-called qi refers to the functions of nature's movement and life,and that these functions can be combined in harmony.Qi works as a medium bridging the gap between an ideal approach and a specific object.When introducing the concept of qi into literary criticism,Cao Pi pointed out that qi was vitality.He held that the reason for the differences of literary works lay in the fact that the vitalities in the works were not the same.His proposition that qi is the backstone of literary works has developed the idea of freely-spreading life,and has drawn people's attention to the quality of life and cultural personality.
