But his theories on poetry are of great value as well.And these theories .which touch upon several aspects of poetry .such as the nature and function of poetry. the poet's moral cultivation and the form of poetry,are not only scientific. reasonable .and progressive. but of profound practical significance as well .and therefore are a great treasure in traditional Chinese poetic theories, which should he paid attention to.
