摘要
运用光学中几何光学和光度学的理论,对阿基米德的设想进行了分析。首先得出了像的亮度与物的亮度的关系,进而导出像的照度与物的亮度的关系。利用此关系,并基于太阳亮度、透镜孔径和敌船位置可能的取值,从而得出结论,像的照度不足以烧毁敌船,该设想不能实现。
<ABSTRACT>:Optical theory is used to go deeply into Archimedes' assumption in this thesis. First, it is obtained that relations between brightness of image and of object, and then a conclusion is reached that relations between illuminance of image and brightness of object. On these grounds, it is made that a penetrating analysis of Archimedes' assumption. On the basis of brightness of sun, foeal distance and aperture of lens, and position of a enemy ship, thus a inference is concluded that the illuminance of image is mot enough to burn up a ship of enemy. Therefore, the assupption is unreal, or proved wrong.
