通过对中国美利奴羊（新疆型）的羊毛产量、质量等性状的亲子典型相关分析，得到如下结论：１．父——女间的典型相关分析由于“平均相关”的影响，无法客观地反映亲子代的相关关系．２．母——子间的典型相关分析表明．羊毛产量与质量间存在着此长彼消的矛盾。３．典型相关变量为多住状选择提供了权重确定的客观依据．

By the parent-offspring canonical correlation analysis(CCA)on sheep's characters of wool yield and wool quality of Chinese Merino(Xinjiang type),the results are as follows:1.The CCA of male parent-offspring can not reflect the correlationship abjectively,because of the 'Sample average correlation' 2.The CCA of female parent-offspring indicate that there are opposite relationship between wool yield and wool quality characters.3.Selection of parent canonical traits can get the greatest screening effect and the smallest estimate error and the second canonical trait provide the weights for selection.
