摘要 The effect of cerium addition to the Fe-28Al and Fe-28Al-2Cr alloys has been studied.Results show that suitable amount of cerium increases the ductility and strength at room temperature significantly. Further study shows that cerium addition modifies the compositions and structure of Fe3Al oxide film, which restrains and retards the reaction of environmental water vapour on aluminum. Also cerium addition causes the microstructure refinement and formation of cerium-rich precipitates.
