摘要
The JOURNAL OF ANCIENT CIVILIZATIONS (JAC) ispublished annually by the Institute for the History of Ancient Civilizations(Northeast Normal University,Changchun,Jilin Province,The People＇sRepublic of China). The Journal aims to provide a forum for the discussion of variousaspects of the cultural and historical process in the Near Eastern andMediterranean world, encompassing studies of individual civilizations aswell as common elements,contacts and interactions among them(e.g.,insuch traditional fields as Assyriology, Classics, Egyptology, Hittitology,etc.).The Journal welcomes articles dealing with history,philology,art,archaeology and linguistics which are intended to illuminate the materialand spiritual culture of that region.Articles discussing other cultures willbe considered for publication if they are clearly relevant to the NearEastern and Mediterranean region. Information about new discoveries andcurrent scholarly events is also welcome. Publishers are encouraged tosend review copies of
