Fluorescene Spectra in dilute aqueous solution of a series of single chain amphiphileswith an interposed naphthalene-1,5-dioxy group were studied to elucidate the characteristic selfassembling behavior. which indicates the abrupt change in fluorescence intensity associated withphase transiton of gel to liquid crystal.
