The iodide form of anion exchange resins witll quaternary ammonium couldeffectively catalyze the synthesis of ,propylene carbonate from carbon dioxide and propyleneoxide in proper dipolar aprotic solvents. The resins could be reused for many runs withoutmuch loss of catalytic activity
