A Survey and Prevention of Senile Oral Disease in 210 People in Linfen

对我市210名65岁～79岁的市内离休干部63名、农民147名进行一年的观察和分析,发现牙周病和龋病随年龄而递增。牙周病市区发病率为85.9％,农村为76.2％,龋病市区为92.0％,农村为97.2％,农村患龋率高于市区,牙周病的危害仅次于龋病。

A survey and analysis of 210 people, including 63 retired cadres in urban areas and 147 peasants in rural areas were made. Their ages ranged from 65 to 79, the average age was 69.2. It was found that: peridontal disease and caries increased progreesively with ages, the incidence of the former was 85.9% in urban areas and 76.2% in the rural areas, the incidence of the latter was 92.0% and 97.2% respectively. It is suggested that the caries rate is high in rural areas than in urban areas.
