ABSTRACT In this paper, a novel asymmetry active trap filter that can adjust central frequency and quality factory simultaneously has been designed through strict theoretical analysisand calculation. Data obtained from the analogue experiment which apply this filter to a biologicalamplifier to eliminate 50Hz power interference from mains supply show that it has more advantages and practicabilities when compared with the twin——T symmetry active trap filter which isnow widely used.
