Cancerous pain is commonly seen inthe intermediate or advanced cancers. It isusually caused by the local infiltration,spreading and metastasis of cancer cells af-fecting the nerves, so the pain is generallypersistent and aggravating all the time. Sincesuch pain is hard to relieve, the patients of-ten suffer a lot. From 1987 to the end of1991, we have tried to treat 92 cases of can-cerous abdominal pain by acupuncture onZusanli (St 36) with satisfactory effect.
