Unsmoothed surface on reducing resistance by bionics

摘要 One of the mechanisms of reducing soil adhesion and sliding resistance of soil animalslies in their various soil engaging unsmoothed body surfaces, which was found by recentbionics studies. It is shown by a series of experiments and investigations on the bionicpractices that the unsmoothed surface can reduce sliding resistance of bulldozing plates.The effect on reducing resistance is affected by sizes, distribution and quantitative density ofgeometrical units on the unsmoothed surface. The sliding resistance against soil can even One of the mechanisms of reducing soil adhesion and sliding resistance of soil animals lies in their various soil engaging unsmoothed body surfaces, which was found by recent bionics studies([1,2]). It is shown by a series of experiments and investigations on the bionic practices that the unsmoothed surface can reduce sliding resistance of bulldozing plates([1,3,4]). The effect on reducing resistance is affected by sizes, distribution and quantitative density of geometrical units on the unsmoothed surface. The sliding resistance against Soil can even be increased under the unsuitable composition condition. Till now, only the regular distribution has been tested and studied for the unsmoothed surface. In this note, the dung beetle, a typical soil animal, was selected as the bionics study object to-study the sliding resistances of bulldozing plate with bionic unsmoothed surface and the varied regularity of the resistance along with the change of test parameters.
