Military thinking should be adapted to changed situ- ations. It is an eternal subject in the military field to con- tinuously keep track of new developments and study new problems so as to revise and perfect one's development strategy. An influx of new and hi-tech weapons and equipment has brought pro- found changes to a modern naval war: reconnaissance and early warning are rigor- ous, effective and three-di- mensional; electronic coun- termeasures and stealth tech- nology have become a new means for concealment: at- tack is made by using both hard and soft tactics; defence and offence have been in- tegrated, with defence being the mainstream; and de- pendence on and require- ments for logistic supports have increased with each passing day......
