摘要
The antitumor effect of Serratia marcescens was recognized as early as in the 1930s,and the mechanism involved was proposed to be mediated by endotoxin moieties present in the outer membrane of its cell wall.A new active component which shares potential antitumor activities in vitro was isolated and purified to homogeneity by the extraction and purification protocol established in our laboratory.and its tumor cytocidal effect was studied using light,scanning and transmission electron microscopies.
