TPN and PPN support of the extreme short bowel syndrome

3例重度短肠综合征经肠外营养支持获得正氮平衡,体重增加,其中1例健康存活,迄今3年,并已恢复工作。介绍了短肠综合征的肠外营养支持技术,讨论了TPN过程中肝功能损害的机理及其预防,提出TPN、PPN和HEN的合理应用与处理原则。

The 3 patients with extreme short bowel syndrome gained positive nitrogen balance by TPN and PPN support with their body weight increased. One of them has healthily survived for 3 years up to now and been back to work. This paper will describe the technique of parenteral nutrition support for extreme short gut syndrome, discuss the mechanism of hepatic function damage and its preventing methods during TPN, and provide reasonable principles in application and arrangement of TPN, PPN and HEN.
